From Set it Off to A Different World: Jada Pinkett-Smith Set to Receive MTV Trailblazer Award

After appearing in her first role as Ronnie in Menace to Society, Jada Pinkett- Smith immediately took the acting world by storm. Because of her poise, heartfelt delivery of lines, and the versatility that she displays in each of her movies roles, she was able to not only bring the movie to life, but draw her audience in one screen at a time. Thus, Mrs. Smith will be recognized at the MTV Movie & TV Awards with the Trailblazer Award on next Monday, June 17th. This award recognizes those in the entertainment industry who have used their voice to enhance the industry. Finally, she will be the second African American female to receive this award.
