"Grown-ish" Channels "A Different World" In Their Brand New Promo

Ever since the Black-ish spin-off, Grown-ish, a show about the Johnson's oldest daughter going to college was announced, it has continuously been compared to the late 80's early, 90's sitcom, A Different World. A Different World was known for merging topical themes and humor, often at a time when sitcoms did not talk about such important issues. Grown-ish paid homage to its predecessor by channeling A Different World's theme song as inspiration for their new promo video.

In the video, the camera pans through color blocked sets as Grown-ish characters recreate iconic moments from A Different World's theme song while making it their own in the process. Watch Grown-ish recent promo below.
