I Haven't Seen Black Panther Yet

I haven't seen Black Panther yet, but I am definitely going tomorrow. This is the same feeling I had when I saw Get Out a week after it released in theaters. Twitter didn't spoil it for me, but I definitely felt out of the loop. I didn't understand the jokes, the references, or any of the characters. I was truly the Mr. Krabs meme in human form.

But now, another Black film is taking Twitter by storm, and it is creating an entire community of people who can relate to the marvelous 134 minutes of cinematic Blackness. The film has only officially been out for 24 hours, but in the world of social media, it seems as though it has been out for months, and you're the only one who has not seen the film, let alone the trailer.

Once the trailer premiered in 2017, a constant reign of jokes have come about. Everything from wearing African garb, to bringing cookout trays to the opening night of Black Panther. You have seen people broadcast their colorful theaters on Twitter, as well as rejoice in the beauty of the film.

If you haven't seen Black Panther yet, don't fret. We too will be able to see the beauty of Wakanda, soon.
