Kevin Hart had an amazing 2018, and to cap it off, he was asked to host the 2019 Academy Awards. Less than 24 hours after the news hit, tweets from 2008 surfaced of Kevin Hart using homophobic language causing backlash. He stepped down form hosting the Oscars after the Academy presented Hart with an ultimatum, apologize or step down. Hart chose to step down.
