Mike Epps Cast As Richard Pryor In Upcoming HBO LA Lakers Series

Mike Epps will be playing Richard Pryor in the upcoming series about the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1980s. The show will focus on the culture defining team and their time on and off the court while dominating the NBA during their run. At the time, the Lakers team consisted of many heavyweights such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson.

For years, Mike Epps, and a hand full of other comedians, including Marlon Wayans, were tapped to play the legendary role of Richard Pryor in a biopic. Although this show will not be directly be focused on the life and time of Richard Pryor, it does offer viewers the lens to finally see Epps in the role of Pryor.
