Rich Paul to Release Coming of Age Memoir, "Lucky Me"

Looks like a new classic tale of Black excellence is about to be shared with the world.

Rich Paul, a Cleveland, Ohio native, has been dominating the sports business world one step at a time since 2003. From being the personally appointed agent to debatably the greatest athlete of this generation, Lebron James, to later creating his franchise, Klutch Sports Group, in 2012. Which recently in 2019, joined forces with world-renowned, United Talent Agency. Fast forward 2021, he now has a seat at the table as a board of directors at UTA and Paul's memoir, Lucky Me, has been acquired by RockLit 101, Jay-Z's publishing company. Talk about luck alright.

"Lucky Me is more than my story. Lucky Me is the story of every young Black man who grew up like me," Rich Paul emphasizes. "I want to use my story to uplift and inspire those who lived this and educate those who didn’t. I cannot tell you what it means to partner with my friend and mentor Jay-Z on this project. Lucky Me was the name of the book before I even spoke with Jay because his music was my life’s soundtrack."

Jay-Z, who is no stranger to inspiring a nation, had this to say about the acquisition of the book, "Rich has always been wise beyond his years, with a wealth of knowledge gained by his inimitable curiosity. To no one’s surprise, Rich has built a phenomenal business with Klutch Sports. This book is an American tale of 'against all odds'— and I believe young people in similar environments will see themselves in Lucky Me. My long friendship with Rich aside, he has one of the greatest stories of growing up in America’s ghettos and overcoming adversity. On a personal note, the fact that I'm able to release this book with someone who inspires me and I’ve watched grow is most rewarding!"

To all the young hustlers out there like myself, this is the book we've been waiting for. The game that is about to be released in this book is invaluable and recent. It's not some old head from the 80s talking. No shade to my elders, but the environment in 2021 is way different. We need a fresh perspective on the game from someone who is currently at the top and Rich Paul is that voice. Be on the lookout for a release date because this is a book that needs to be added to your collection, expeditiously.
