"The Upshaws" Renewed For Season 2 On Netflix

Netflix's latest sitcom, The Upshaws was released through the streaming site globally on May 12, 2021 and a little over a month after it's premiere, the series has been picked up for a second season. The Upshaws stars veteran actress, Kim Fields, Wanda Sykes, and Mike Epps. The show is co-created and executive produced by Wanda Sykes and Regina Hicks.

The Upshaws follows the life of a working class Black family lead by Fields and Epps. Epps plays Bennie, a husband, father, and mechanic who's "just tryna get it right", while Fields plays Regina, his wife, mother of three out of his four children, and overall career woman. Skyes plays Fields' no non-sense sister, Lacretia.

The cast celebrated the good news by participating in a TikTok challenge and uploaded it to social media to surprise their fans. Season two of The Upshaws will consist of 16 episodes split into two parts.
