Since turning pro in 1995, it is certainly anticipated to see Serena Williams walk away as the crowned champion, after playing in the final match of a tournament. However, with losses in both the Wimbledon Final in 2018 and the US Open final in 2019, Williams seemed to have difficulty finding that edge and leaving victorious.

Yet, with all odds stacked against her, she was able to overcome this hurdle during the 2020 ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand. This time, instead of receiving the runner up trophy, she proudly stood center stage holding her 3 year-old Alexis Olympia, as the champion and winner of a $43,000 grand prize.

Although this win came over fellow American Jessica Pegula (6-3, 6-4), Williams showed that her finals mojo is back. Clink the link below to view highlights from the match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0VsY3OaQyg
