Following last month's shenanigans involving the Undisputed's Shannon Sharpe, and former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, Jones has officially been traded to the Tennessee Titans.
Former Falcons' WR spent 9 years with the team after being drafted 6th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft. He was a huge asset to Atlanta as he had over 848 career receptions, 12,896 total yards, and a total of 60 touchdowns.
The Seven-time Pro-Bowler undeniably added that special spark on offense that essentially helped Atlanta reach its' second Super Bowl in 2017. Without Jones, the Falcons struggled to compete and simply could not make it into the Playoffs during the 2020-2021 NFL Season.
Further, Tennessee is definitely gaining a weapon in Jones, who will also find a more consistent QB in Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill was drafted 8th overall by the Miami Dolphins in the first round round in 2012, and in his two seasons with the Titans has combined for more than 6,561 yards and 55 touchdowns.
Not to mention, Jones is joining the already explosive Tennessee Titans offense, consisting of RB Derrick Henry and WR AJ Brown. Both, considered two of the league's best.
In exchange for Jones, the Falcons will receive a 2022 second-round draft pick and a 2023 fourth-round pick. The Titans will receive a 2023 sixth-round pick in addition to Jones.
