Gabriel Hart aka Video God takes us back to 1989 with this Spike Lee inspired visual. DJ Durel, Migos' producer and official DJ dropped an anthem to celebrate the summer adequately named, "Hot Summer".
The video takes us to a fictional Bed-Stuy, New York, much like the culturally relevant film. If you have seen Do The Right Thing, you would have noticed the heavy emphasis on color schemes and how they influenced the character's actions. The Spike Lee joint focused on warm colors to further heighten the sense that it was hot as hell. Twenty-nine years later, Video God infuses warm and retro colors to really give the audience a nostalgic feel of summertime.
