It is 2019, and Jermaine Cole is still stepping on the necks of your favorite rapper. That is at least the theme of his new video for his song "Middle Child". In the visual, that gives off "Get Out" vibes, J. Cole taps into his country boy roots as he goes mudding in his Bentley truck with his Dreamville associates. The video takes us through many settings including Cole siting in front of fireplace as well as him rolling through a grocery store sitting in a cart.
One of the moist poignant parts of the video includes seeing a white woman buying the face of a Black women. It appears to be Cole's nod to white women stealing and appropriating the beauty of Black women. Watch the Mez directed video, below.
